Reducers and roller screws from Taiwan
Taiwan has a large group of precision motion-component makers, many of them around Taichung's machine-tool supply chain. Its manufacturers produce harmonic (strain-wave), planetary and cycloidal reducers for robot joints, along with ball screws and a growing number of planetary roller screws for linear actuators in humanoid legs and arms.

Origin questions we ask suppliers
We ask suppliers these questions and include their answers with each introduction. The answers come from the supplier. We do not verify or certify them.
- Where is the bearing steel melted and rolled?
- Are flexsplines, gears or screw shafts machined in-house or subcontracted, and where?
- Where are the crossed-roller or output bearings sourced?
- Is any heat treatment or grinding done outside Taiwan?
